"Skye" OTCH U-UD Morninglo Fire In The Sky UDX4 MH NA NAJ WCX VCX OS CanCD X "Shine" Tashel Tairis New Light in My Life TKN BN RA ACT1 CCA CGC TN-N NJC NCC
We have been talking about this litter for over two years now and are so excited for the chance to make it a reality! We felt 2020 was the perfect opportunity to avoid travel and try a frozen semen breeding to a dog we have long admired. This combination brings together some of the most versatile and accomplished dogs in the breed while also maintaining a history of excellent health, temperament, and longevity. These puppies should be phenomenal examples of the breed with potential to be highly competitive in every venue. Keep scrolling to read about both Skye and Shine.
Skye
Skye was an outstanding representation of the breed, which he proved by becoming the first CH ptd. OTCH MH VCX. He had a superb temperament and got along very well with every person he met, puppies and other dogs. He was always confident in new situations-always awaiting the next adventure!
He was a fast, agile and stylish worker. He had strong marking ability and was a superb handling dog. He had a strong work ethic and willingness to please. He loved to work no matter what the venue!
Skye was a well-built dog, which was evident by his winning two National Specialty conformation classes in his career (Novice Dog 2003 and Hunting Retriever Dog at Kansas City) as well earning WD in Indianapolis.
He was moderately built with a very solid top line and a powerful rear. His eyes told of his intelligence and willingness to please. He was balanced from front to rear, had full dentition with a correct scissor bite. He had correct coat, medium gold in color with nice feathering. At his prime, he weighed 65 pounds and was 23” tall.
Skye’s pedigree is a combination of high level working titles and conformation Champions. He carried on the tradition!
Skye was completely owner handled/trained to all of his working titles. He was his owner's first SH/MH and first OTCH/UDX/VCX/OS. Over the years, it's been clear Skye is passing on his intelligence, good looks and temperament to his puppies.
Shine
Shine is our special co-owned girl that we drove all the way to Maine over Christmas to pick up after we fell in love with the breeding. She did not disappoint. Shine is a bit of a diva and knows what she wants and when she wants it. She is very independent, but also loves to cuddle. Though she has been slower to mature (we're fine with that!), she is proving to be an absolute joy to train and show. She has a true golden personality with an incredible sense of humor that keeps us all laughing. Shine stands 22" tall with a light to medium straight, correct coat. When she completed her CCA title last year, she blew us away with her consistently high scores.
She is working toward higher level obedience and rally titles but during the pandemic, we have decided to learn agility together. I may not be the best handler, but she has picked everything up remarkably fast and is zipping through NADAC titles!
