​Welcome to Maywood Golden Retrievers

Located in the Appalachian mountains of Southwest Virginia, we focus on raising the classic golden retriever - a dog with a stable temperament, good work ethic and instincts, who can thrive equally as a hunting or competition partner and a family companion. Health and longevity are our highest priorities and every one of our personal dogs, whether a breeding prospect or not, has full health testing performed. We actively show our goldens in agility, obedience, rally, hunt tests, and a variety of other performance venues and are members of the Golden Retriever Club of America. In addition, we are active members of TDI (Therapy Dogs International) and our local all breed and training clubs.
