Magic X Dream Litter pedigree: http://www.k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=922482 Welcome to the Music Litter! DOB: August 20, 2019 3 boys, 3 girls Repeat of our 2018 Litter!! Puppies from this litter have all gone to their new homes. Please visit our Puppy Buyer Information page to inquire about future litters.
Dream is our sweet, adorable puppy from our Beau-D X Stella litter and she is just starting to show in both obedience and field. Dream is easy going with moderate drive and willing to do anything you ask. She is on the smaller side, standing 21" tall with a wavy medium gold coat. She has an incredible temperament and is one of the most "polite" dogs I've ever seen. That also means she has convinced you she is allowed to sleep on the bed before you even realize what happened! Dream has shown a lot of natural working ability in the field and absolutely loves water. Dream has all of her clearances, genetic testing, and genetic diversity testing complete. OFA Clearances can be viewed here.
We anticipate this breeding to produce versatile puppies who meet the standard in conformation, temperament, and working ability. Puppies from the first litter so far have inherited their father's beautiful movement and their mother's ability to convince you they are allowed to sleep in the bed. They are moderate drive, but very birdy, eager to learn, and primarily people-focused with a natural aptitude for heeling. This breeding may produce good candidates for working service dogs.
I had the opportunity to meet Magic and his owner this summer when I traveled to Wisconsin for work. Magic hopped out of the car and buzzed right past me - no interest in people, and my heart kind of sank. But then, he frantically searched the parking lot, found a stick, and wiggled all the way back to me, leaning into me and "talking" the way goldens do. What a gentleman :). On the same visit, I got to watch almost 11-year old Magic turn on the drive to enthusiastically work in the field (he had just earned his MH the weekend before) and then immediately calm down to play with his litter of 6-week old puppies. Even as a senior, he has a beautiful coat and gorgeous movement. To top it off, I met his 9-year old son and 16-month old daughter. I was floored by the consistent sweet temperament, desire to please, drive, and very nice working structure in all of his offspring.
When I returned to WI a few weeks later to take Dream to him, I spent several days observing him in stressful situations - strange house, strange people, strange dogs lunging out toward him, constant travel... He was absolutely bombproof. Truly incredible temperament and such a joy to "live" with and be around (see pictures below). I tried to smuggle him back with me, but his owner said no :).
Magic's pedigree boasts excellent health and longevity in addition to a variety of obedience, field, agility, and conformation titles. Magic stands approximately 24" tall with a straight, correct, rich gold coat and is genetically clear for all we can test for. He has all OFA clearances, which can be viewed here.
As an update to this description, I've now spent a lot more time with this boy, and I just love him more and more each time I see him. For the latest breeding, he came to my house, came nose to nose with his 8-month old offspring he'd never met, several of my dogs he'd never met, and he just took it all in stride. He'd play with the other dogs for a minute, then find a toy and just do his own thing. Totally calm in a strange house, relaxing under the table while we ate, despite having two girls in standing heat one room away. I am so excited to be able to include this boy in my breeding program for a second time!
