Magic X Shine Litter pedigree: http://www.k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=929144 Welcome to The Movie Litter! DOB: August 15, 2019 5 boys, 4 girls Puppies from this litter have all gone to their forever homes. Please visit our Puppy Buyer Information page to inquire about future litters.
Shine is our special co-owned girl that we drove all the way to Maine over Christmas to pick up after we fell in love with the breeding. She did not disappoint. Shine is a bit of a diva and knows what she wants and when she wants it. She is very independent, but also loves to cuddle. Though she has been slower to mature (we're fine with that!), she is proving to be an absolute joy to train and show. She has a true golden personality with an incredible sense of humor that keeps us all laughing. Shine stands 22" tall with a light to medium straight, correct coat. When she completed her CCA title last year, she blew us away with her consistently high scores.
She is working toward higher level obedience and rally titles and has just started to train for fieldwork. Shine has all clearances, which can be viewed here.
I expect puppies from Magic and Shine to conform to standard, have wonderful, sweet temperament, excellent structure and be higher drive with more of an environmental focus - well suited for fieldwork and agility, but with maturity, highly competitive in any performance venue. Puppies should be genetically CLEAR for all currently testable genetic diseases.
I had the opportunity to meet Magic and his owner this summer when I traveled to Wisconsin for work. Magic hopped out of the car and buzzed right past me - no interest in people, and my heart kind of sank. But then, he frantically searched the parking lot, found a stick, and wiggled all the way back to me, leaning into me and "talking" the way goldens do. What a gentleman :). On the same visit, I got to watch almost 11-year old Magic turn on the drive to enthusiastically work in the field (he had just earned his MH the weekend before) and then immediately calm down to play with his litter of 6-week old puppies. Even as a senior, he has a beautiful coat and gorgeous movement. To top it off, I met his 9-year old son and 16-month old daughter. I was floored by the consistent sweet temperament, desire to please, drive, and very nice working structure in all of his offspring.
When I returned to WI a few weeks later to take Dream to him, I spent several days observing him in stressful situations - strange house, strange people, strange dogs lunging out toward him, constant travel... He was absolutely bombproof. Truly incredible temperament and such a joy to "live" with and be around (see pictures below). I tried to smuggle him back with me, but his owner said no :).
Magic's pedigree boasts excellent health and longevity in addition to a variety of obedience, field, agility, and conformation titles. Magic stands approximately 24" tall with a straight, correct, rich gold coat and is genetically clear for all we can test for. He has all OFA clearances, which can be viewed here.
As an update to this description, I've now spent a lot more time with this boy, and I just love him more and more each time I see him. For the latest breeding, he came to my house, came nose to nose with his 8-month old offspring he'd never met, several of my dogs he'd never met, and he just took it all in stride. He'd play with the other dogs for a minute, then find a toy and just do his own thing. Totally calm in a strange house, relaxing under the table while we ate, despite having two girls in standing heat one room away. I am so excited to be able to include this boy in my breeding program for a second time!
