All puppies have gone to their forever homes!
We are so excited to be able to bring one of our girls to Maestro again! Last year we welcomed our "Good" litter with Maestro and Cinder and have been so in love with those three boys. So, when our co-owned girl, Kenzie, came into season a little earlier than expected, making the timing actually work to try to have another litter, we asked Maestro's owner if we could come to him again.
Like his breeding with Cinder, this is a huge outcross pairing. We anticipate some variety within the litter, but for the most part we are expecting people-focused, biddable puppies with gorgeous structure. They will likely be wonderful prospects for obedience and rally, but also a great dog to learn things like dock diving, agility, or fieldwork with. They should also be appropriate for the average active family and ideally suited for therapy work. Parents have all health clearances and all genetic testing available to the breed completed.

CH Toasty's Maestro, "Maestro"
From Maestro's mom: Maestro is a moderate, classically styled Golden. He has a soft, kind expression, correct coat and solid top line. He is very light on his feet and floats around the show ring. When he isn’t in the ring, Maestro’s favorite activity is keeping us company on the sofa and playing with his 4 legged family members.
We've had the pleasure of meeting Maestro several times. Beyond just structure, we've been so pleased by his eagerness to learn and work, temperament, and people-focused, loving nature. Just what a golden retriever should be!

Kenzie is co-owned by us and her sire's owner. She was intended to be a service dog, not a competition or breeding dog. But...situations change, and we have been fortunate enough to be able to borrow her and take her to a few classes and shows...and we fell in love with her. In fact, one of the best parts about deciding to breed her is that she gets to live with us for awhile and while we will not take her to shows while pregnant, we are excited to work on some of the virtual titles as practice and then maybe convince her owner to continue at real shows in the spring :).
Kenzie absolutely loves to learn and work. She is very handler-focused, but the few times we have played with her in field work or agility, she has had zero issue working away from us to go pick up a duck or take a jump. One of our favorite memories of her from a puppy was when she decided duck-gility should be an event and ran through all the tunnels with a duck in her mouth! At home, she easily settles and hangs out with her owner, though she'd prefer to be on the couch with you than on the floor!
The puppies from Kenzie's first litter are almost 2 years old and have been excelling in agility, field, obedience, and rally. Our own keeper from her litter, Story, is such an amazingly sweet, calm, cuddlebug, but when you ask her to work she is flashy and fun in the ring. All are obsessed with water, with one of Kenzie's sons already having earned his Dock Diving Master title his first few weekends seeing a dock!
Kenzie is approximately 22" tall with a straight dark golden coat that repels everything and sheds minimally.
